Self Healing Practices for Depression and Anxiety
Tuesdays 5-6pm beginning in March
Join Justus and a small group in learning and practicing the effective techniques from Daoist, Sufi, Christian, and Buddhist traditions that help us on our path of healing. True healing doesn’t just address symptoms of illness, but helps us tune back in to our core self, the space where we can heal and discover our purpose.
Participants of this group will develop the ability to relax more deeply, find guidance for life’s challenges, and discover the energy to move toward goals.
These practices are not intended as a substitute to primary care and medical help, but will supplement a multifaceted approach to health.
This class is limited to 7 participants and will meet on Tuesday evenings at 5pm at Counseling on Capitol Hill. Please call 206-877-3188 to reserve a spot.

How would you like to get your own evidenced based Mindfulness Practice going?
Research is still piling up on the effectiveness of Mindfulness practices for alleviating anxiety, sense of isolation, frustration, relationship problems, and many other challenges. This is an opportunity for a personal study of the effectiveness of Mindfulness practice in Seattle, so participants must be willing to begin a personal practice of about 10-20 minutes a day for the duration of the class. We will complete Sustainable Seattle’s “Happiness Survey” at the beginning, middle, and end of the course so you can see what the data says about the effectiveness of this approach for you!
Class sizes will be small so please RSVP.
